Our Philosophy

Here at Li’l Achievers, children are our priority and focus.
We have created an amazing nurtured learning environment where our highly qualified educators are passionate and committed to providing the best possible care and education for your child from birth to kindergarten.
We provide long day care in a secure, safe and modern environment, which is an extension from the home.
We believe and encourage honest and open communication with our families, respecting their rights and opinions.
Parent and guardian information about their child’s likes and interests, and general feedback is crucial in making that child feel safe and secure and creates a smooth transition from home to care, care to home.
We offer exceptional learning opportunities in our nursery, toddler and preschool rooms by an exceedingly caring and play-based learning curriculum, which motivates children to explore and discover their world.
This curriculum is informative, creative, innovative, culturally diverse and fun which will feed the child’s love for learning that they will then carry with them for the rest of their lives.
We incorporate the framework’s values and outcomes into our Centre’s programs to ensure all children are working towards the same overall learning outcomes.
The framework encourages staff and families to work as a team to strive towards achieving your child’s individual learning outcomes.
We passionately believe for a child to reach their full potential of physical, psychological and spiritual wellbeing, it is vital to include optimum nutrition, physical activities, music and movement, rest and relaxation into the child’s daily routines.
We participate in sustainable practices that encourage children to respect and understand their environment and the importance of caring for our planet, which becomes a life skill.
It takes a village to raise a child, and we believe that our Centre has a major role in facilitating meaningful interactions between families and their community.
Hence, giving the child a sense of belonging, being and becoming amazing and unique individuals that will give back to their community and their country.
All children should be heard. Every child, whatever their age or ability, is capable of self-expression.
“Children are not just things to be molded, but people to be unfolded” - Jess Lair.

The Li’l Achievers Story

Growing with demand

Brooke Patriquin worked in childcare across Queensland and New South Wales before she met her husband Richard. When their first child was born, Brooke started family daycare in their Gunnedah home in New South Wales, but found the demand for places far outgrew what she could offer.

The Patriquins, both passionate about finding a balance between family care and long daycare, decided to create a Gunnedah centre where the most caring and professional standards coincided with an environment that was just like home.

Both believe the early childhood years set the foundations for a healthy and happy life, where learning is an adventure.

Li’l Achievers opened in 2015 and has since expanded to offer places for up to 80 children while maintaining the same family values and a strong commitment to the best start for each child.

Li’l Achievers has seen babies grow into toddlers and into well-rounded and unique individuals, ready and enthusiastic to begin their first year at school. The caring and qualified team members can see your child through from six weeks to school-ready.
